It's Official!

The whining has started!!!

I was at the Jax Zoo today on a photographer's field trip and I nearly died!!

~~~~

You heard me, I nearly died!!

~~~~

No, I didn't fall in the Lion's Den or anything like that.

~~~~

I nearly died of a heat stroke!

~~~~

Really!

~~~~

!!!!! It was 93* !!!!!!

With the heat index of 98*!!!!!!

I was soaking wet with sweat!

~~~~

You know the kind that you can feel rolling down your back and your crack.

!! Oh my Hello!!

I didn't cool off from 9:00am until I got in the shower at 6:30 this evening!

My face was still red at 8:30.

~~~~

I was thinking just how lucky Tauna was, what with the snow and cold weather she still has up in Idaho.

I was going to her blog to check out her blog tonight and found that she was complaining again, and with every reason!!

It was 26* this morning at her house!

~~~~

How crazy is that?

I know, about as crazy as it was for me having 98* heat index today!

Well, while I was visiting her blog I found that besides complaining about her weather, she was informing all her readers that Thursday, May 6th, is National Nurses Day and it continues on until May 14th, so go hug your favorite Nurse!

She is one tough "ER Nurse".

But I digress.

At the very end of her post for yesterday, She gave me an award!!

Random Afterthoungts

Just want to start off by thanking you all for your comforting words at the loss of my aunt. I will attend her funeral tomorrow with the Sweetheart, my parents and my siblings that live on the east coast.

I started blogging because my cute niece Tara though I'd be good at it and helped me get it up and going. At the time I though that it would be a good way to keep the parents and siblings and other family member's up on the comings and goings of the Griffis household. And looked at it as an online journal. Since then it has turned into a way to share my pictures and other parts of my life too. I love turtles.

When we were growing up my daddy would bring them home when he found them on the road. We would play with them for a day or so and then they would crawl away. It brought back some of those fun memories.

Thank you! Oh! Thank you! I can hardly believe this! I feel so blessed. And this award- it's so fantastic! Oh, thank you again! I just want everyone to know that even in my wildest hallucinations, I never would have imagined that this could ever validate my mediocrity. And to the other brilliant award winners, I want each of you to know how totally wonderful your fake smiles makes me feel right now! You know when I first learned that I was getting this award, I just had to take a moment and laugh about how generous my fans have been to leave me but very few comments. I know my posts have just left you speechless and then you just can't possibly leave a comment or two. I forgive you. I guess it all just makes me feel kind a special.
