Mellow Yellow Monday

Finally! A baby blankie!

My niece Tara was in town for a wedding and

 she came all by her little lonesome without her little family.

I had been wanting her to myself :)

for a private lesson on how to make this little blankie.

She had posted a tutorial and part 2 on her blog almost 2 years ago.

For some reason I just couldn't figure it out.

So after a very busy weekend we got to it last

 night and finished right before 9:00pm.

Didn't take long at all.

I was thrilled to finally master this little blankie and

now I had better make another one quick

before I forget how to do it again.

It works great for my Mellow Yellow Monday.

This is my beautiful niece, Tara! Happy Birthday Tara!

I Blog because of Tara.

She is the one that turned me on to the whole blogging world.

And nearly 3 years and 1076 posts later I'm still blogging.

I love it and I love yall who come here and

visit and sometimes leave comments.

Tara has the cutest little family!

They are just precious.

This is Ali, Tara's sister and Grandma Griffis and Tara.

They came from Ohio to visit their Grandma,

a few days before Thanksgiving.

We had a wonderful day with them

on St. Simons Isl and Jekyll Island.

The temperatures were in the 80's the days they were here.

Tara is married to this Santa's helper, Ben.

He was such a good sport to bring his Santa's suit

all the way from Ohio so we could get

Santa beach pictures.

We think they turned out really cute.

We stayed on the beach that day until dark.

The kids didn't want to leave.

We finished the evening off with dinner at

Willie's Wennie Wagon. It was a Great day!

Tara, I hope you have the best birthday ever!!!

Meet Jacob Levi Hale

3rd son of my niece Tara Griffis Hale

and her husband Ben.

Born last night, March 14th at 11:08 P.M.

7lbs and 10oz.

His older brothers are Maxton and Seth.

I just love new babies!

We need to thank you again Tara for getting all this started! It is so nice to see how this bloggin can really bring familes together and help us stay in touch in this busy world. You've inspired so many with your positive excitement to join you in bloggin! I can only take credit for encouraging Amanda and she is so cute and you both have taught me so many things. So thanks again and have a great weekend! You deserve it.

I have always loved this picture of you and Ben. I think it is one of your dateing pictures. You make such a cute couple! Cute parents! You make such cute kids! And really enjoy life!
