Mid~Week~Blues

A little invitation is all we need to find ourselves picking blueberries in 100* temperatures!

Twenty minutes is about all it took to get our fill.

Not fill our buckets but to be done with the fun of picking blueberries in the summertime!

Reagan can eat them as fast as she can pick them.

She used cousin Emma Mae's, blueberry picking container.

It is perfect around her neck leaving her hands free for picking and popping blueberries in her mouth.
Very few berries ended up in her container.

Shel is so talented she can hold her slushy and pick blueberries at the same time.

Thanks for letting us pick on your farm, GREAT-Aunt Juanita and Amanda.

No blueberries were wasted in the picking this day they have all been eaten and now we need some more.

This is the Tricolored Heron

This one was nesting and when I got to close, flew off.

This is what she was sitting on!
I was thrilled to capture a picture of her eggs.

I took the pictures at the Alligator Farm in St. Augustine, Florida a few weeks ago.

The GRAND~girls thought that this old truck looked like Mater.

Shelby didn't want her picture taken but Reagan and my niece Anna were willing models.

I LOVE rusty things and this truck just did it for me.

The truck had a for sale sign of $10,000.00,

little to much don't you think?

Thankful

My Mid~Week~Blues this week is the blue skies and a blue tractor.

Thankful for a tractor to do the real work in the garden.

Thankful that the Sweetheart can use the tractor.

Thankful that I don't have to stand behind a mule or feed a mule every day.

Mid~Week~Blues

The night that the Sweetheart got sick,

I had attended a wedding for my dear friend's only daughter, Kristie.

I am so glad I took my camera.

I loved the color of Beth's dress.

And it is my Mid~Week~Blues photo.

Kristie was a beautiful bride and it was a perfect day for a wedding.

This picture makes me happy.

That cute Kristie was waving at me.

Her mom and aunt Cathie were grinning at me too.

The little baby in green is Kristie's baby, Jay.

After the wedding and before the reception got going good

I had the privilege of taking baby Jay home and putting him to bed.

Beth's 85 year old dad also rode home with me.

His years of partying are sort of over, (grin).

I was trying to not disturb the wedding photographer

but I did stand way behind him and snapped a few of my own pictures.

They were just so dang cute.

This was their first dance.

And this was her daddy daughter dance.

I just loved all their smiles.

A sad note: her husband Jonathan broke his foot on their honeymoon in Key West.

He is in surgery today having it repaired.

What a way to start off their marriage and the for better and for worse part, :(

Labor Day Weekend

I'm back tracking for a bit.

Our summer was so crazy that I didn't blog much.

So I will randomly be adding post that will cover our summer activities.

Just for journal-ing purposes.

We have season passes to Sea World, Orlando, Florida.

We usually go in January for Shelby's birthday.

Again in March for spring break.

Then we usually go the end of October or in November.

But we NEVER go in the summer time!!!

Just go sometime and you will understand.

BUT...

we went to Orlando for the Labor Day Weekend

and since we had season tickets, the girls put in to go.

We waited till around 5:00 pm hoping that the heat would subside.

I was hot but bearable.

Reagan was sure happy to be there!

She has been so funny lately, she throws her hands up like

this when I try and take her picture.

I show you this picture because I want you to see that cup

that Shelby is drinking from.

That's my Sea World cup that if you bring back each

time you come your drinks are only 99 cents!

And this made the 2nd year I remembered to bring back my cup.

No one else remembers to bring theirs.

We were waiting for the acrobatic show to start
and they always come out and sell the flashing light jewelry.
For $5.00 each they got some way cool Dolphin necklaces.


So when the lights go out they really are cool.


Really great show.

The girls wanted their pics taken with some of the dancers.

Uncle Trav wanted his picture taken with the girls.

This is where my Mid-Week Blues picture comes in.

This is the main thing we came to see,

Shamu Rocks!!

I finally started just at dusk!

It was wild and loud with Rock n Roll music.

Interestingly enough no trainer got in the water with the whales :(

The Sweetheart really loved the music because it

was mostly 70's and 80's hits and lots of his favorite.

We really did Rock Out!!!

So much so that we got our pictures up on

the jumbo screen for every one to see.

I nearly died but the girls loved it!

After Shamu Rocks

the girls and Aunt Jordan and Aunt Emmy

rode a few of the rides.

The girls wanted their mama to have one of the flashing hats.

I'm surprised she bought one but it make them all happy.

Uncle Travis ended up carrying the girls out of the park.

We really enjoy spending time together as a family and we had a great weekend.

**I took these pictures with my point and shoot camera. I really missed not having my big camera for this trip.
