1st Day of School

The GRAND-girls have started the school year 2013/14.
They are growing up fast.
They are 8 and 6 years old and in the 3rd and 1st grade.
They have really great teachers again this year.
Such a blessing.

I Survived The Summer Of 2011

I realized that it is not really over yet but
for us, school started today!
The girls were excited this morning as I met them to take
a quick picture. I'm excited too!
There is lots going on around this place and this remodeling
is about to do me in for good!
It is taking sssssssooooo long.
It would be quicker to build a house from scratch
than to remodel this 30 year old home in the 100* heat of summer.
It's been tough and I've needed to be here more than I have been.
I've spent a lot of time with my GRAND-daughters
and we have had lots of fun good times!
But today we are all back to reality!
And the temperatures are suppose to be around 99*
and no rain in sight. That's a big UGH...

Reagan starts Pre-K this year.
She was a little shy acting this morning when we first got to her class room.
She will be fine.
 She has been in nursery school for 4 hours a day,
 5 days a week since she was 11 months old.

This is what she wanted to wear this morning.
I got their lunch boxes at Thirty One.

Shelby starts the 1st grade this year.
She's got this, no problem.
She was giving Reagan all kinds of advice this morning.
Christon said it was pretty cute.
Love her freckles.
She is her Daddy's Mini-Me.
Except she has more of my personality, dramatic.
Her daddy was always very shy, even around family.

Love her new Croc's and new lunch box too.

And of course they have new book bags to start the year off right.
And back to school haircuts.
I love this picture of them holding their mommy's hands.
I pray for a GREAT school year ahead!

First Day Of School 2010/2011

Shelby will be in Kindergarten this year.

She was very ready for school to start.

She doesn't want to take dance this year.

So she is going to be on a little swim team.

She sort of taught her self to swim this

summer and that is all she wants to do is swim.

Reagan will be in the 3 year old Pre School class.

She didn't want to go to school this morning.

She wanted to go to big girl school with her sister.

She still has another year before Pre-K.

Her cousin Mackenzie will also be in the same class.

Watch out Ms. Charity!

My niece, Leah, cut her hair yesterday.
She really wanted it as short as Shelby's
but I think this was short enough.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm still running around like a chicken with it's head cut off.
I can't see it calming down until after the Labor Day weekend.
We still have relatives in town from the
funeral and will have for another week.
We've had some really good times with our extended family.
I hope to get back to my regular blogging and
visiting yall soon. Probably another few weeks.
Miss yall.
Last Days Of School
I was able to snap a few pictures of the girls on the last week of school.
We left to go to Michigan the next day so I am just getting around to posting them.
Shelby and teachers look a little messy from Water Day.
They had such a great time and Shelby had invited Uncle Travis and Auntie Jor Jor to go with her and they were delighted.
Shelby and her Pre K Teacher, Mrs. Moody
Shelby with Mrs. Smith, the teacher's aide
Reagan and her teacher Mrs. Audrey
Rea and Mrs. Jennifer, the director of Lakeside Methodist Pre School
Rea and Mrs, Judy the assistant.
School Lunch
When my kids were in Elementary School I hated going to the school because you could smell the cafeteria the minute you hit the door. The smell was so bad It always made me nauseous. I wasn't really looking forward to having lunch there this week.
Although I loved the one I was going to be eating lunch with the thoughts of the smells made me sick before I even got there.
I was pleasantly surprised at how good it smelled and tasted!
It was so fun!
I think I'll go again next week.
Today
First Day of Pre~K
You have to walk in and sign in every pre~k child.
When you pick them up you have to
walk in and sign them out.
There is no curb side drop
off service for pre~k.
Take this book bag off!
She was not nervous at all.
She knew several other children in her
class from last year and dance class.
Little sister made her self right at home.
And was not happy when she could not stay too.
Hope it's a great day and school year.
I go back to pick up big sister at 2:00!
