"MUSIC" (Singing, Dancing, Playing, Instruments, iPods, Concerts,...)

I can't take any credit for these pictures.

They all came from Echo's blog.

But it does have to do with music and

with one of my favorite singers, Michael Buble'

These cousins of mine went to see Michael Buble two years ago.

They had no idea that I loved him so much until after they had already gotten tickets.

When they got to the concert there was an empty seat right beside them all night that I could have sat in and to prove it they took a picture of what could have been my seat.

Oh, boo hoo!

But I let them know that if they ever went again they had better take me with them!!
And they did!!!

And he was Yummy!!

And he so reminds me of the old crooners of the 50's and the 60's.

We saw his Crazy Love tour.

And I had a blast with the cousins!

It was very nice of them to take the old lady with them.

Thank you again, ladies.

And at the last minute they were wishing that we could have taken their SIL, Courtney with us too. She would have loved it!

And there was even an empty seat she could have sat in!!

How Much Is That Doggie In The Window?

My Mama and Daddy used to sing this song to me and my siblings.

It's always been a favorite of mine.

And when I hear it I can sing most all the words.

I've been singing it to the GRAND~girls lately.

I picked up the oldest one from school today and

from the back seat she had a request.

"Gigi will you sing me the doggie in the window, please?"

Well, when you say please!

And by all means it has to be Patti Page singing!

I should have been sitting in that chair.

They were in Jacksonville.

They were seeing this hunk in concert.

I guess they don't say "Hunk" anymore, I think it's "Hottie".

Well the good news is......

Tickets to see Michael Buble' went on sale today

and Echo got our tickets!

And this time I am going and there won't be an empty chair by Amanda!!

I'll be sitting there and I can't wait!!!

But I have too because the concert is in July :(

(The Sweetheart will be paying for my ticket so I guess I didn't really buy myself a Valentine's present after all.)

Live Entertainment

We had surprise visitors come to our Crenshaw Christmas party.

The Savannah Crenshaw's brought their very good friends with them this year.

Lisa and her girls wanted to surprise me and boy did they!

It was a most delightful surprise.

Come again any time Lisa :)

We were fortunate to have live MUSICAL entertainment!

(We always have family entertainment but not of such high quality.)

These girls did an awesome job of a variety of Christmas music,

I was very proud of all of them.

Deborah and Amelia are best friends.

Amelia is my niece.

Da'Nette is Deborah's older sister.

This is Lisa, the mother of Da'Nette and Deborah.

This is my Brother Sanford aka "Barney's Friend Chris" and his wife Sheri, the parents of Amelia.

Kudos to these parents for doing what it takes to get their daughters to and from music lessons and putting up with the at home practicing that it takes to be such accomplished musicians. They are wonderful young ladies.

We enjoyed it so much!

75th

Happy 75th Birthday Elvis!

I thought I'd give you a heads up that tomorrow is Elvis birthday, should you need a reason to celebrate this Friday. I really didn't want you to miss out on any fun times.

So hurry and plan ahead.

Great day to have an "Elvis Party"

Go ahead and plan on having these wonderful Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwiches, yum yum!

Elvis Presley's Grilled Peanut Butter
and Banana Sandwich
•2 slices of white bread
•2 tablespoons of smooth peanut butter
•1 small ripe banana
•2 tablespoons butter
Spread the peanut butter on one slice of bread and the banana on the other. Press the slices gently together. Melt the butter (or to be truly Elvis-like, melt bacon fat!), over low heat in a small frying pan. Place the sandwich in the pan and fry until golden brown on both sides.

Hall and Oates

Hall & Oates are a music duo made up of Daryl Hall and John Oates. The act achieved its greatest fame in the late 1970s and early to mid-1980s. They specialized in a fusion of rock and roll and rhythm and blues styles, which they dubbed "rock and soul." They are best known for their six #1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100: "Rich Girl", "Kiss on My List", "Private Eyes", "I Can't Go for That (No Can Do)", "Maneater", and "Out of Touch." I also loved "Sara Smile" and "Kiss On My List"

Harry took me to the 2nd concert

I ever saw. It was after we were

married and my brother,

"Barney's Friend Chris",

also went with us to see it.

I believe it was in the

Jacksonville Coliseum.

It was a wonderful concert.

I loved all their music

back then and listening to it

now brings back fun memories.

I can't really pick a favorite song.

Only thing, their lead guitarist,
G.E.Smith scared me to death.

I swear he looked like an

Axe Murder! I could hardly keep

my mind on the music for

looking at him. He was so scary!

He later was the musical director of

Saturday Night Live.

He was good but scary to look at!

Music Monday

The first concert I ever went to was in my first year of college 1975/76.

By concert I mean one that I had to

buy a ticket to attend.

It was in Rexburg, Idaho.

I went with my BFF Cousin, Dottie.

I remember practically dancing

to the whole concert right in front

of my seat. They were so HOT and

we really 'shook our booty's.'

They are still doing a few concerts and

they have such great dance music.

One thing about their songs is that

they only have one or two lines

so you knew every word to

their songs after listening to it once.

Their most well known songs include the disco hits " That's the Way (I Like It)", "(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty", "I'm Your Boogie Man", "Keep It Comin' Love", "Get Down Tonight", "Give It Up", and "Please Don't Go".

KC & The Sunshine Band is still as widely popular today as they were when they first danced onto the music scene 36 years ago.

Now turn your sound up

and put on your boogie shoes

and enjoy!

Does Louis Armstrong ring a bell?

Louis Daniel Armstrong (August 4, 1901– July 6, 1971), nicknamed Satchmo or Pops, was an American jazz trumpeter and singer.

Muskrat Love

I need help around the house sometimes doing the things that Harry just can't do anymore. James is my help. He's a young man from my church that we have know since he was born. We were coming home from the hardware store the other day and on the radio this song came on. So the part in the song came on (I think it is around the 3 minute mark) where the animal noises are playing. He was like, "what the heck is that? it sounds like aliens or something" So I try and explain that it is Muskrats. I just couldn't quit laughing. Do you realise how stupid that song is? Why do I know all the words? That's just not right! What were the Captain and Tenille thinking?? What do you think?

Oh No!

I couldn't help myself.

It just happened.

I was home by myself for a few hours

and things were so quiet.

And the mood just hit me and

I couldn't stop myself.

I did think to myself,

'What if someone knocked on the door?'

What would they think?

But I don't care.

I listened to CHRISTMAS Music!

I LOVE CHRISTMAS MUSIC

ALL TYPES!

Both of these CD's.

And aren't they both about as

different as night and day?
