Naughty or Nice

My EVIL TWIN, Nurse Tauna, who lives in the Arctic Tundra of Idaho
bestowed this little meme upon me the first of the week.
I am always a day late and a dollar short
or either I'm just to hot to think straight.
That is how it has been this week!
WAY TO HOT!!
(I hate these things because I'm just so boring, I bore myself)

#1: What is the silliest prank you've ever played on someone?
When Harrison dropped off Reagan (3 yrs old) on Tuesday morning she had a "Mina" aka Pacifier wrapped up in her shirt hiding it from me. I broke her of that Mina while we were on spring break with the girls and their parents weren't around. I dared them to give it back or even mention it to her when she got back home. Well, she has done real well. When she had her tonsils out a few weeks ago her daddy bought her a new one!
(I could choke his guts out, in a nice way of course.)
Back to the story, I got it away from her and turned around and acted like Bentley Boo Dog got it from me then told her that he ate her Mina (pacifier). She was mad at him and wanted him to give it back. I told her he couldn't that it would just come out in his poop. She whined a little and not 10 minutes later she told me Bentley had to go bathroom he needed to poop. She watched him all day hoping she could some how get that thing back. I asked her what we would do with it if we found it, she said we could wash it!!! Now, that is wanting that thing BAD! That night she told both her mama and daddy about that bad dog. Next day she asked me if he went poop and I found her "mina". She was willing to get it back any way she could.
I know that wasn't really a silliest prank but that's the best I could do and I'm evil like that :)

#2: If you could go on a trip anywhere out of this country, where would it be? I'd go to Scotland with Tauna and then make her go to Ireland with me. Italy always looks nice in the movies too.

#3: Who played an influential role in your life? Both my parents, in different ways. I'm a lot like both of them.

#4: Are you OK with your spouse being friends with an ex? Um, never had to think about that one so I guess I just don't know, probably not so much.

#5: Favorite candle scent? Yankee candle, pineapple tropic

#6: Next movie I'm excited about seeing. No earthly clue.

#7: You must have one word to be banned from the dictionary and no longer spoken or used. What is it? I HATE hearing anyone use the Lord's name in vain! But I wouldn't want it banned from the dictionary. The word to ban would be the f bomb.

#8: Do you have a relative in jail? I don't but the Sweetheart does. In fact he has a few more that I wish were there too.

#9: What crazy fads were popular when you were in high school? Platform shoes and hip hugger pants with a wide white belt with your shirt tucked in.

#10: Have you ever been mentioned in a newspaper or on TV?
Yes, my baby announcement and my wedding announcement and a few other times.

If you are finding yourself looking for something to blog about then take this little naughty or nice test and blog on!

Squamous and Shingles

Please use sunscreen!

I had a squamous cell carcinoma removed last Thursday using Mohs surgery. They were able to get clear margins the first try. I then went to the plastic surgeon to have her close it up. It started out as about half the size of a pencil eraser and then when they removed it and sent it off the spot healed nicely and it was the size of a pencil eraser. Now it's about a inch and a half long. I was surprised. This is the first time I've seen it since last week. She used inside stitches that will dissolve. I think it looks great and with a little makeup I'll be able to cover it nicely. I asked the Dr. to take a picture of it before she covered it back up for a few more days and this is what I got.

It almost looks like I am dead or asleep, eewwe.

The Sweetheart has shingles and I have never seen something look so bad and give so much pain. Blisters have finally popped and starting to dry up. I feel so bad for him.

You can thank me for not taking pictures to show you proof, it's bad.

So, how's your week going?

We Were Robbed

Two days before Thanksgiving between 8:30 AM and 12:00 noon we were robbed. We were not home at the time. Who ever it was came through the bedroom window of the room we had been remodeling. I don't think they were in the house very long but long enough to take things they could lift easily and carry out quickly. Camera, lenses, iPod, laptop, Prescriptions, money and so forth. It could have been so much worse, they could have gotten a lot more than they did. But it really knocked me for a loop and really un~nerved me. It has taken me nearly two months to get over this and to shake the scary feelings I've been left with. I've been afraid that they would come back once they thought we had replaced the things they had stolen and do it all over again. We've made a lot of changes around our home and the way we have always done things. We've lived here 32 years and never had anything stolen from inside our home. Only a few things from the garage and yard.
That being said, I got this email from the parents and I wanted to share it with y'all and hope you will read it and take heed.

Twenty One Things Your Burglar Won't Tell You:

1. Of course I look familiar. I was here just last week cleaning your carpets, painting your shutters, or delivering your new refrigerator.

2. Hey, thanks for letting me use the bathroom when I was working in your yard last week. While I was in there, I unlatched the back window to make my return a little easier.

3. Those yard toys your kids leave out always make me wonder what type of gaming system they have.

4. Yes, I really do look for newspapers piled up on the driveway. And I might leave a pizza flyer in your front door to see how long it takes you to remove it.

5. If it snows while you're out of town, get a neighbor to create car and foot tracks into the house. Virgin drifts in the driveway are a dead giveaway.

6. If decorative glass is part of your front entrance, don't let your alarm company install the control pad where I can see if it's set. That makes it too easy...

7. A good security company alarms the window over the sink. And the windows on the second floor, which often access the master bedroom-and your jewelry.
8. It's raining, you're fumbling with your umbrella, and you forget to lock your door-understandable. But understand this: I don't take a day off because of bad weather.

9. I always knock first. If you answer, I'll ask for directions somewhere or offer to clean your gutters. (Don't take me up on it.)

10. Do you really think I won't look in your sock drawer? I always check dresser drawers, the bedside table, and the medicine cabinet.

11. Helpful hint: I almost never go into kids' rooms.

12. You're right: I won't have enough time to break into that safe where you keep your valuables. But if it's not bolted down, I'll take it with me.

13. A loud TV or radio can be a better deterrent than the best alarm system.
If you're reluctant to leave your TV on while you're out of town, you can buy a $35 device that works on a timer and simulates the flickering glow of a real television. (Find it at faketv.com.)

14. Sometimes, I carry a clipboard. Sometimes, I dress like a lawn guy and carry a rake. I do my best to never, ever look like a crook.
15. The two things I hate most: loud dogs and nosy neighbors.

16. I'll break a window to get in, even if it makes a little noise. If your neighbor hears one loud sound, he'll stop what he's doing and wait to hear it again. If he doesn't hear it again, he'll just go back to what he was doing.. It's human nature.

17. I'm not complaining, but why would you pay all that money for a fancy alarm system and leave your house without setting it?

18. I love looking in your windows. I'm looking for signs that you're home, and for flat screen TVs or gaming systems I'd like. I'll drive or walk through your neighborhood at night, before you close the blinds, just to pick my targets.

19. Avoid announcing your vacation on your Facebook page. It's easier than you think to look up your address.

20. To you, leaving that window open just a crack during the day is a way to let in a little fresh air. To me, it's an invitation.

21. If you don't answer when I knock, I try the door. Occasionally, I hit the jackpot and walk right in.

Protection for you and your home:

If you don't have a gun, here's a more humane way to wreck some one's evil plans for you.

Wasp Spray

When asked by a concerned person about using pepper spray, the local police department recommended that she get a can of wasp spray instead.

The wasp spray, they told her, can shoot up to twenty feet away and is more accurate, while with the pepper spray, they have to get too close and could overpower you. The wasp spray temporarily blinds an attacker until they get to the hospital for an antidote.

On the heels of a break in and beating in Toledo, self-defense experts have a tip that could save your life.

A teacher in the art of self-defense has told his students for decades to keep a can of wasp and hornet spray near their door or bed.. "This is better than anything I can teach them." It is inexpensive, easy to find, and more effective than mace or pepper spray. The cans typically shoot 20 to 30 feet; so if someone tries to break into your home, "spray the culprit in the eyes".

"That's going to give you a chance to call the police; maybe get out." Maybe even save your life.

Pajama's

When did pajamas and slippers become acceptable Wal-mart shopping attire?
As I was standing in the check out lane around 10:45 pm
a child runs by in her pajamas
followed by a teenager
and then no less their mama!
All dressed in their pajamas and slippers???
Okay, I get that it is late, but Wal-Mart is still full of people!
???
Not appropriate!

7 Things About Me

Sweet Connie from "I Started Out As A Child" tagged me for "7 things about Me". And only because she is such a sweet person and I would never want to hurt her feelings, I will play along.
I just hate for y'all to learn just how weird and boring I really am.

1. I wear my "Cleo" Crocs every day. I have them in 4 colors. They are the first thing I slip my feet into in the mornings. I hate it when I have to wear something else. (I don't mind my tennis shoes if I'm going to do a lot of walking)

2. I love to rock in a rocking chair.
I love rocking a baby to sleep.

3. I can't stand being HOT! I can't stand my feet to be hot. Several times a day I put one foot in the bathroom sink at a time and run cold water over them.

4. I love mail, even junk mail. I hate it if anyone gets the mail out of the box before me. And when there is nothing in the mail box I'm disappointed. (My Daddy is a retired letter carrier maybe that has something to do with it)

5. I love fresh home grown tomatoes and could eat them 3 meals a day. Most days lately I've had them for lunch as well as supper.

6. I can lead music but I can't read music. I don't enjoy it.

7. I love ironing and it really bugs me when I see someone in wrinkled clothing.
%%%%%%%%%%
Thank you Connie, it wasn't really that hard after all.
I tag anyone else that doesn't have anything to blog about today! Tell us about your 7 things :)
Hope you all have a
blessed and happy day!

Do You Know What I HATE!!

I HATE This!!!

We've had some work done on our house this week and now that it is done, this is what is left all over every where! I hate, hate, hate it!!! Did I say I HATE it?
They also left nails all over areas that we drive the lawn mower, golf cart, cars and trucks on! They were very nice men and they did a wonderful job for us but I HATE what they leave behind. They aren't the only
ones that have done this.
Why is it most construction workers smoke?
My back hurts and I can't hardly pick them up right now but I'm working on it, one butt at a time!
Did you know, it is estimated that several trillion cigarette butts are littered worldwide every year. That's billions of cigarettes flicked, one at a time, on our sidewalks, beaches, nature trails, gardens, and other public places every single day. In fact, cigarettes are the most littered item in America and the world. Cigarette filters are made of cellulose acetate tow, NOT COTTON, and they can take decades to degrade. Not only does cigarette litter ruin even the most picturesque
setting, but the toxic residue in cigarette filters is damaging to the environment, and littered butts cause numerous fires every year, some of them fatal.

Sorry, I just needed to get that off my chest!

Have a nice day!
