This is the before picture!

The After picture!
The Sweetheart let me cut his hair and goatee off this morning!!
Nothing makes me happier than to have that
"old gray goat" that has been living on his face GONE!
Oh Happy Days!!

Money Pit

It was time to take the man helping to rebuild
the Sweetheart's truck some more money.
He has been working on this 54 Chevy for 3 years now.
The Sweetheart can no longer work on it himself.
This was the first time the GRAND~girls had ever seen
Pop Pop's truck. They loved it and were all over it!

All I asked was for them to stand beside it and
let me take their picture and that is when the
modeling began.

They were posing and smiling

And grinning!

They will probably be teenagers by the time it is ever finished!

Cinnamon Bread and Cheetos

We spent the weekend at my Crenshaw family reunion

in the cabins at Indian Springs State Park, GA.

Monday morning as we were getting ready to leave the cabin I went to put something in the truck and came face to face with this deer.

We just had a stare down.

I went ahead to the truck and he didn't run off he just kept looking for food.

I went back in and told the girls to come quick and look.

I was just sure that they would scare him off but nothing seem to bother the deer.

It wouldn't do until they got their daddy outa the bed and Pop Pop to come see too.

As we are standing their quietly Shelby looks up at me and says,

"This is why we come here."

I say, "why"?

She says, "to watch the deer."

We had been there all weekend and this was the first deer

we had seen. We usually see them every where.

They wanted to feed the deer something.

The crazy Sweetheart told them that they would eat their

cinnamon toast and Cheetos's.

They of course believe them.

I step out again just in time to see them run up to the top of

the drive to put down the bread and Cheetos.

I just thought it was so cute in their night clothes.

Of course, they never did eat the food the girls left for them

but we did watch two different deer for about 20 minutes.

So sweet in the peaceful morning hours to watch the girls and enjoy the beauties of nature.

Labor Day Weekend

I'm back tracking for a bit.
Our summer was so crazy that I didn't blog much.
So I will randomly be adding post that will cover our summer activities.
Just for journal-ing purposes.
We have season passes to Sea World, Orlando, Florida.
We usually go in January for Shelby's birthday.
Again in March for spring break.
Then we usually go the end of October or in November.
But we NEVER go in the summer time!!!
Just go sometime and you will understand.
BUT...
we went to Orlando for the Labor Day Weekend
and since we had season tickets, the girls put in to go.
We waited till around 5:00 pm hoping that the heat would subside.
I was hot but bearable.

Reagan was sure happy to be there!

She has been so funny lately, she throws her hands up like

this when I try and take her picture.

I show you this picture because I want you to see that cup
that Shelby is drinking from.
That's my Sea World cup that if you bring back each
time you come your drinks are only 99 cents!
And this made the 2nd year I remembered to bring back my cup.
No one else remembers to bring theirs.

Reagan and Auntie Jordan.

We were waiting for the acrobatic show to start
and they always come out and sell the flashing light jewelry.
For $5.00 each they got some way cool Dolphin necklaces.

So when the lights go out they really are cool.

Really great show.

The girls wanted their pics taken with some of the dancers.

Uncle Trav wanted his picture taken with the girls.

This is where my Mid-Week Blues picture comes in.
This is the main thing we came to see,
Shamu Rocks!!
I finally started just at dusk!

It was wild and loud with Rock n Roll music.
Interestingly enough no trainer got in the water with the whales :(

The Sweetheart really loved the music because it
was mostly 70's and 80's hits and lots of his favorite.

We really did Rock Out!!!
So much so that we got our pictures up on
the jumbo screen for every one to see.
I nearly died but the girls loved it!

After Shamu Rocks
the girls and Aunt Jordan and Aunt Emmy
rode a few of the rides.

The girls wanted their mama to have one of the flashing hats.
I'm surprised she bought one but it make them all happy.
Uncle Travis ended up carrying the girls out of the park.
We really enjoy spending time together as a family and we had a great weekend.
**I took these pictures with my point and shoot camera. I really missed not having my big camera for this trip.

Pop Pop's New Tattoo

Compliments of the GRAND~girls!
(Could it be any uglier? I really wish they would have put a little forethought in to the design! And thank goodness for washable markers.)

All I Asked

Was, will you smile,

so I can take your picture.

And look at the grief that followed!

They finally agreed if they could make a silly face.

I agree of course.

And finally I get this really sweet one.

Yay!

Sunday Stills

Sunday Stills
This weeks theme: Sound

At the Jax Zoo on Friday we had the privilege of hearing the most incredible sound of this Lion roaring.
He went on and on about who knows what but it was awesome.
The sweetheart said that was worth the whole trip to the zoo, just getting to hear that sound!
He told the GRAND~girls that he was roaring at them cause they looked good enough to eat.
He's forever telling them something crazy like that.

Wordless Wednesday

This is one Pop Pop lovin youngin!
He stopped by the house to drop something off the other day and she got up in that truck with him and pushed and pulled every knob and button in there. It took me 10 minutes to get her out of his truck. Him sitting there loving every minute of it.
Harrison asked her the other afternoon did she want to go to the store with him and she said, "unhu, Pop Pop~Gigi." That wasn't one of her options but now that she can talk she can sure tell him where she wants to go.
I just love that she wanted to come to our house!

You Know It's Spring

When you hear the annoying

music and bells of the

ice cream truck!

Note to self:

Listen first, to see if you

hear the evil music

before you send Pop Pop

to take the trash up

front when he

has the Grand Girls

on the golf cart!

And warn him to never buy them the yuckiest tasting Sponge Bob ice creams ever again. And BTW the pink and yellow ice cream stains tiny little arms as it melts. Neither one of them finished these ice creams either.

And next time see if you couldn't talk them into the Nutty Buddy's so that when they don't finish it, maybe we can help them finish!

They have him wrapped right around their little fingers! Shame, shame.

Photo Friday

How all this started:

Back in March of 2006. Harry was getting onto a fork lift on the job site as he was stepping up his foot slipped between the rungs and he started to fall backwards. His foot got caught in the rungs and actually kept him from probably falling and breaking his back. Instead he broke his foot in 5 places. Being a diabetic since he was 18 years old, he doesn't feel his feet very well. He walked around on that broken foot for a few days until it turned purple and was finally killing him. Off to the ER we went and 3 months later he had surgery on it putting in bolts and pins. He had to have special shoes made and then to stable him a little better they added a leg brace. See pictures below.

Aren't these nice looking shoes? They only cost around $900.00. They cast his feet and specially ordered these shoes. They were great. But as his luck would have it his foot never really healed. He did all he could and all the Doctors ordered him to do.

So infection finally took over his body and it

was bad and it was MRSA/STAPH.

Only thing left to do was to amputate it.

Things went from bad to worse and

then to Miraculous! Any way insert new foot!

Now, look!!! New shoes!!!

Steel Toed shoes!

Normal, straight off the shelf!

$29.95!
I still can't believe it sometimes.
