Color Me Happy

A summer camp is held Monday-Friday 10:00-1:00 at our local "paint your own pottery studio" called "Color Me Happy". Shelby was old enough to go this year and was excited that her cousin Madi was there too. They did pottery-painting, canvas painting, building with clay, glass fusing, sand art & tie dying a t-shirt!

By the smiles on their faces you can tell that they loved it!

This was about half way through her painting. It turned out really cute.

Reagan isn't old enough to go this year. But she loves to go to the public library which is just around the corner from Color Me Happy.
She has been infatuated with all the Christmas books and we've only checked out 7 already this summer. I'm sure there are more that we haven't gotten to yet. That day I read her 3 and we checked out 3 more all on Christmas.
And Christmas will be here before we know it.
The top pictures have the yellow in them that I need to join Mellow Yellow Monday.

Tiny Dancers

Madigan and Shelby's first dance recital.

Madigan is our cousin Josh and Amanda's daughter. Her and Shelby had school, dance and primary together this year. They are best friends.

One Tiny Dancer took off their shoes before she got her awards.

It's fun hanging out with 4 year olds.

More cake, Yum.
I'm really proud of Shelby for not
blowing out Madi's candles
Madigan had her birthday party yesterday.
It was a cookout and a swimming party.
Lots of Fun! and Lots of cousins!
When Madi and her mom were doing her invitations she wanted to know who were they sending invitations too. Her mom read off the names and Madigan said, "don't forget Gigi."
How sweet was that?
Thank you Madi.
Life is one big party!
Eat lots of cake!

Photo Friday

Don't ask me! We never know what this girl will do next. She is so silly.

Really wished I could have gotten her to look at the camera.

Madi! who are you looking at, I'm over here!!!!

A few weeks ago Christon, Shelby, Reagan, cousin Madi, Harry and I went to Guyse, Georgia to Mule Days. Animals, craft booths, food, activities and more. Perfect time to practice using the camera!

No not really, Hello!

Taking pictures of children is HARD WORK!

After this day I think I'll be a nature photographer! I can deal with the elements, say like rain, or wind? But 3 active little girls who move faster than the camera can take pictures nearly did me in! See the following posts for further examples of my frustrating day of trying to photograph children. It's got to be the hardest thing EVER!!!

I have a field trip to the water front of Darien this Saturday with my photo class. I should have some pictures of shrimp boats for next week. We'll see??
