Thanksgiving Drama

No one burnt the turkey.
No one tried to make real pie crusts 4
times only to have them not turn out!
Solved that one long time ago by just buying
ready made pie crusts.
No the real DRAMA involved a pair of scissors!

We had the most beautiful week last week!

The weather could not have been more perfect.

Fortunately I had taken the girls on Tuesday

afternoon and taken their Christmas Pictures.

Wednesday afternoon their parents took them

to the movies to see Tangled in 3-D.

They all enjoyed it.

On Thanksgiving morning the 3 year old blond

decided she wanted to look like Punzel (Rapunzel)

after Rapunzel cut her hair.

Here she is with her Aunt Emmy
after she had already had the friend hairdresser try and fix it.
It's cute but still gaped in several places.
It will take until next year to grow out in those places.
You could hear the screams and the crying from her mother.
It was really sad.
She had to come to Thanksgiving dinner with a Santa Hat on
to cover up the damage.
The hair cutting friend didn't get back into town until late
Thanksgiving night.
I don't think the little Miss will be
cutting any ones hair anytime soon!

Yikes! I would totally be screaming and wailing and throwing myself on the floor. I hope it grows fast!

It may be a mess, but thankfully it is just hair. That grows back. Quickly, at her age. She's still a cute, precious little pixie grand-girl. :) Thanks for sharing. At least you didn't have Griswold Rolls. ahahaha. Blessings, SusanD

I STILL love that story and I have been anxious to see the pix of it.

Ya, too funny.
I thinks she's so stinkin' cute that she can get away with it.

Glad you had a great time together.

You were very wise NOT to make pie crust even though your pie crust would have rocked. I just know that my Southern twin would have done it well!

wee ones' hair carnage is never good. Mini-Me did this with her hair 3 days before Mr LKP & I got married! it wasn't as short, just chunks missing. luckily we had a great hairdresser cousin who helped blend it as best she could with some layering that night & then again camo'd it right up with some darling curls the day of our wedding. :)
great christmas picture btw. good thing they all have those to remember how lovely her hair was prior, lol.

Oh, the horror! It seems that all kids go through that stage. Luckily, it doesn't look so bad after the hairdresser tried to fix it.

Gotta' love it when they discover they can cut their own hair. Or not. Ashley so far is the only one of mine who tried that. Now she contents herself by cutting her barbi dolls' hair.
Your grandgirl IS adorable either way.

Why oh WHY do they take it upon themselves?
At least her hair disaster was brought on by her own hand.

Sissy's last debacle was handed out by her OTHER grandma (devil-incarnate)

She is still a little doll! I'm just glad she is healthy and happy. Hope you all are enjoying the excitement of the season.

Oh man - that is classic and yet such a tough one, especially for poor mom.
She still is cute as a button!

It looks cute short. Thank heavens for hair cutting friends who can clean up a mess!
It seems like almost every child tries their hand at barbering or is it butchering?

I wonder how many other little girls will be doing the same thing after seeing that movie?
