Mid~Week~Blues

The night that the Sweetheart got sick,
I had attended a wedding for my dear friend's only daughter, Kristie.

I am so glad I took my camera.

I loved the color of Beth's dress.

And it is my Mid~Week~Blues photo.

Kristie was a beautiful bride and it was a perfect day for a wedding.

This picture makes me happy.

That cute Kristie was waving at me.

Her mom and aunt Cathie were grinning at me too.

The little baby in green is Kristie's baby, Jay.

After the wedding and before the reception got going good

I had the privilege of taking baby Jay home and putting him to bed.

Beth's 85 year old dad also rode home with me.

His years of partying are sort of over, (grin).

I was trying to not disturb the wedding photographer

but I did stand way behind him and snapped a few of my own pictures.

They were just so dang cute.

This was their first dance.

And this was her daddy daughter dance.

I just loved all their smiles.

A sad note: her husband Jonathan broke his foot on their honeymoon in Key West.

He is in surgery today having it repaired.

What a way to start off their marriage and the for better and for worse part, :(

Ouch! that is too bad about the groom's foot. They sure are a beautiful couple and Beth's dress is gorgeous! I love the baby's green outfit. Lucky you getting to tuck him in for the night.

Not only is the blue dress beautiful, but looks also very fashionable! Maybe you remember from your own, but the first year of marriage is full of stressors!

She is very pretty! -- She kinda looks like Amy Adams..

Your photography skills are so great.. why didn't they just have you take them?

Awesome service taking the very new and very old home to rest.

PS: MANY of the same quirky things you listed on Wendy's blog were me too! -- I guess I'm just too quirky for my own good...

Great photos! She is a beautiful bride. Hope hubby heals quickly. My husband came down with Mono on Tuesday of our honeymoon. We went home Thursday. Seems someone at the wedding had mono too and KISSED him.

I love wedding pictures.

that would be pretty frustrating to break your foot on your honeymoon.

wonderful pictures to keep you smiling during your mid-week blues. Happy to hear you sprang your husband from the hospital. I pray he and you both have a wonderful recovery.

Plus I would have taken the long way home to look at the moon. I love moons!

yeah, loving beth's dress from here too...it's the same shade as her eyes!!! so awesome. (:
kristie's baby is a doll, btw.
and one of my childhood friends blew out her knee at the actual wedding after tripping over her dress and a folding chair. she thought she'd be ok, went on her honeymoon and only lasted a couple days before she wound up in surgery as well! holy crumbs, not fun for a marriage start at all. that was 18 months ago and she's still having trouble since the surgery.
