Rollie Pollies
Shelby loves rollie pollies. She picks some up every morning. Yesterday she collected about 15 from around my driveway. I gave her a little bowl to keep them in. She just loves them. She wanted to take them to VBS. I made her leave them on the porch until she got home, then she could play with them. While she was gone we had a "frog strangler" of a rain storm. I never thought any more about the critters. When I picked her up and came home she ran to get her bugs and they were floating in her little bowl. She was so crushed, she looked up at me and said, "oh no! they all drowned" It was sad but I told her it was okay and she could find some more when things dried out. I'm not sure what those little creatures are good for, but they sure give little kids hours of fun.

Must be a child thing. This week my daughter caught an ant in the garden and put it in a shoe box complete with pillow and blanket. The next morning she was devastated that the ant had disappeared!
Gross and Hillarious all at the same time...I liked rollie pollies more before I saw that up close and personal footage from you tube...thanks?!?
One time when Aunt Gigi and I were taking Shelby to school we got her out of her car seat and we saw about half a dozen dead rollie pollies!! Because every morning that she goes to school on the way to the truck she always pick up a couple!! (lol)
