How many of you plan to do any baking for the upcoming holidays??

Be prepared to even share a recipe :)
I hate long drawn out contests and seeing as you need these right away let's end this contest tomorrow, Wednesday night at 11:59 P.M. I'll announce a winner on Thursday morning November the 12th, Okay?
Easy as Pie, even Pecan Pie!
Have at it!
Don't be shy, I know you come by and check me out and never leave a comment and that is a-okay, but if you want a chance at some pecans then come out of the closet and leave that comment.
Thank you and good luck.

YAY -- I am #1. Well, maybe not #1 as in #1 ---but I am FIRST
funny about the pecan's
my hubby and mother in law always tease me about the "way I talk --yankee"
I told his mom (we were out to dinner) that I ate a pic-ahn (this was how I pronounced it) tart.
she said what??
She said --- you mean pee-can.
what is it???
I would use those babies in everything!!
Wendy, You are #1!! And it is Pee~Can!! Down here in the south.
Pick me!!
Count me in! I grew up with pecan trees in the backyard and was a pro at picking them up! I love them roasted and salted!
Here we go! LOL! You know me, I wouldn't just use them for one thing. First thaere's banana bread and salads and cookies and cranberry sauces!
Oh, well, I would use them in banana bread, hand dipped turtles, pecan pie sounds scary to make but if I had pecans straight from Georgia....well I would venture into dangerous territory!
I would probably eat them plain and THEN I'd make the pee-can pie! I went to Macey's on Saturday (not the one in NYC, the grocery store in Utah County) They were giving samples of pecan turtles made with one snyders waffle pretzel, one Rolo candy and a half pecan on top. You place the pretzels on a greased cookie sheet,a Rolo on top of each pretzel, place in 350 degree oven until the Rolos have melted. Press a pecan half on top of that and enjoy! It really was good.
i would definitely make a pecan pie! I would probably be the only one eating it, but hey I'm pregnant and that's allowed, right??
My sister in law has a recipe for little mini pecan pies and I would LOVE to try them out! Also, I add pecan's to my granola for christmas...sadly I do not give out that recipe. Needless to say, I need those PEE-CANS!
Ok let's see pecan pie, red velvet cake, carrot cake, cheesecake with pecan crust, etc. Would definitely use in my yogurt with various fruits, YUMMY
I need to win.
I'd use pecans for my Xmas cake as well as those lovely crescent cookies that get rolled in icing sugar. I'm hungry now! Hope I win!
I'd love to win some (again)! I'd use them in my English Toffee.
It's hard to say.....cheater turtles, cookies, spiced cocktail nuts....oh yes....they would be good GA pee-cans. :) Blessings, SusanD
I probably would not bake anything but I'd surely eat them good old Georgia pe-cans. I love'em.
Love you too,
Papa
P.S. Don't send them to me, I'm going to buy me some when we go up for the wedding on the 28th.
oooooh goodness! The things I could do with Georgia pee-cans! I have a new recipe this year for pecan tassies, then there is always pecan pie (CGMan's favorite!) and banana bread and on and on. Pick me!!
Gigi, while you were sleeping, you totally won! HOORAY! Come to my blog and see what you won. Email me your address!
CONGRATULATIONS!
Christmas 1975, I had my first white Christmas in Canada. My room mate's parents invited me to their home in Kingsville. He mum showed me her traditional pecan pie. She pronounceed it pea corn. It was delicious. Now I hear people calling it Pee Can.
I just used some last night in my mom's famous cougar cake. yummy. so i need more!
I know my mom can make something great with them..:-)
I'll make a pie ,,, or let my dad,,,! please please :) :) :)
Hubby and I love (Pee-Cans)does that help my status any?
We munch on pecans all the time. Plain, in salads, in cookies, brownies, etc.
My husband loves to try his hand in the kitchen during the holidays and he always calls dibs on making a chocolate pecan pie. Personally, I like plain pecan pie best (it's my favorite pie)
If there were any left over after he baked his pie, I would make magic cookie bars with them. I would decrease the amount of chocolate chips so as to not overpower the crunchy goodness of the southern pecans.
Damn, my mouth is watering. Pick me! Pick me!
If I were experimenting with my own recipe, I would try making crushed pecan and coconut crusted chicken fingers. That just popped into my head and sounded really good.
Oooh I would have to do some pecan recipe searching!
Maybe I'll use those to make something wonderful with my kichen aid which I haven't used yet. I need the perfect recipe for my first time!
LOVE pecans! I would use them as a crunchy addition to my ridicously easy chocolate fudge.
What a nice giveaway, count me in. I just came upon your blog, and I'm enjoying all the photos.
Have a great day.
