Cinnamon Bread and Cheetos

We spent the weekend at my Crenshaw family reunion

in the cabins at Indian Springs State Park, GA.

Monday morning as we were getting ready to leave the cabin I went to put something in the truck and came face to face with this deer.

We just had a stare down.

I went ahead to the truck and he didn't run off he just kept looking for food.

I went back in and told the girls to come quick and look.

I was just sure that they would scare him off but nothing seem to bother the deer.

It wouldn't do until they got their daddy outa the bed and Pop Pop to come see too.

As we are standing their quietly Shelby looks up at me and says,

"This is why we come here."

I say, "why"?

She says, "to watch the deer."

We had been there all weekend and this was the first deer

we had seen. We usually see them every where.

They wanted to feed the deer something.

The crazy Sweetheart told them that they would eat their

cinnamon toast and Cheetos's.

They of course believe them.

I step out again just in time to see them run up to the top of

the drive to put down the bread and Cheetos.

I just thought it was so cute in their night clothes.

Of course, they never did eat the food the girls left for them

but we did watch two different deer for about 20 minutes.

So sweet in the peaceful morning hours to watch the girls and enjoy the beauties of nature.

The title made me think of my crazy eating habits.

I love going to my mom's house to watch the deer.

TGIF!

What a great moment to embrace and a lovely memory to create. Love the story but none of your pictures are showing up. Is anyone else having a problem or is it just me?

I'll come back later and see if I can view your photos.

awesome!

while in tooele, actually in driving up middle canyon to look down into kennecott, we saw oodles & oodles of muledeer. so fun. i love watching them as well.

we have whitetails where we live, and there are about 6 of them that scamper all about our property & the neighboring orchards. it lifts my hear to see them.

lol. in contrast, it gets my husband's blood racing to see them, and he gets a little itchy for his trigger. speaking of, tomorrow is opening day. he's got big plans. in honor of it though, mini-me & i watched bambi this morning! lol.

have a great weekend!

That sounds like such a lovely time you had.
I love the peace and quiet and "wonders" of nature.
I see deer all the time
I had a stare down with a moose once...I was a little scarred. It was to close and I kept thinking...you stay over there and I'll stay over here (it was on one of my walks)

so bring the fam up to my house, I'll fix some waffles and we can watch the deer
coyotes
and maybe a moose
