Today is Sissy's birthday.
Happy Birthday, Sister.
~~
All day yesterday I couldn't quit thinking
about her and all she went through the last week of December.
And most of her life, really.
~~
While I was washing dishes yesterday a thought came to me
about when she was very little.
We lived in a house that was off the ground and had wood floors. When mama wanted Sissy to come to her she would stomp her foot hard on the floor and Sissy could feel the vibration and would come find her.
I don't know what made me think of that, but it was sweet.
~~
I've got pictures of the funeral day and every time
I start to write a post I just can't seem to find the words to get it together.
I'm hoping to do that before much longer.

((HUGS)) Happy Birthday to your Sissy. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. My son shares her birth day.
Happy Birthday to your sister! You are in my prayers.
That is a sweet story about the wooden floors! Very cute!
I heart Sissy.
Sissy is celebrating in Heaven today. I know you miss her so very much. During your quiet times, you'll remember the precious times and eventually be able to put her pain and suffering behind you. Take your time writing her tribute - you'll know when the time is right and we'll all be here in the meantime. May God bless each of you as you miss Sissy.
Take you time on the funeral post.....
Happy Birthday Sissy!
That is a sweet memory. Happy Birthday sweet Sissy. I bet you are full of tender feelings.
I hope your whole family is doing ok today.
Gigi, you have already been honored your Sissy and she is so proud of you. The words are in your heart so if you never post about the funeral it doesn't really matter because you've already spread the love. Hugs to you my friend.
That is cool that your mom did that...and soon you will have it all together to record...bless you! :D
Birthdays are remembering days! Happy birthday to your SIS.
Wonderful to have good memories of your sweet sister! I'm sure it's hard to find the words to express your feelings of the day.
I hope you're doing well and things are good at your home.
I remember my dad telling me that story, I just love that picture of Sissy!
My grandparents had a house like that so I can relate to that cute story.
My parents used to stomp on the floor to get our attention.
Sweet memory Gigi.
Sending hugs your way. <3 <3 <3
