I had a squamous cell carcinoma removed last Thursday using Mohs surgery. They were able to get clear margins the first try. I then went to the plastic surgeon to have her close it up. It started out as about half the size of a pencil eraser and then when they removed it and sent it off the spot healed nicely and it was the size of a pencil eraser. Now it's about a inch and a half long. I was surprised. This is the first time I've seen it since last week. She used inside stitches that will dissolve. I think it looks great and with a little makeup I'll be able to cover it nicely. I asked the Dr. to take a picture of it before she covered it back up for a few more days and this is what I got.
It almost looks like I am dead or asleep, eewwe.
The Sweetheart has shingles and I have never seen something look so bad and give so much pain. Blisters have finally popped and starting to dry up. I feel so bad for him.
You can thank me for not taking pictures to show you proof, it's bad.
So, how's your week going?

God bless you both Gigi. My Dad had Mohs surgery many times and he also had shingles. I do sympathize greatly with you both.
I am glad to hear that you are enjoying this beautiful weather.
Keep us posted on how you both are.
So glad they were able to get clear margins first try. They did a great job on the stitching. I've had several spots removed. I always wear sunblock on my face. Every day. I'm not so good about the rest of me. Hope you're both healed soon. Blessings, SusanD

So glad they got it all the first try. Feel so bad for your husband! Miserable shingles!
My Goodness! I hope you guys feel better soon. I'm glad you went to a plastic surgeon to have that are sewed up...they do such a great job, especially on the face. Tell the uncle I hope he starts feeling better! Here's to a better week and a fabulous summer!
