Do you think my garden pictures seem a little strange?
Last year I attended a little gardening class and the Home Extension Agent told us to use newspaper to cut down on weeds in the garden.
I used newspaper on one row.
That was the only row that didn't get overcome by weeds!!
I learned my lesson from last year,
the weeds over took my garden and Me!!
It was a nightmare!
I had dreams of weeds growing out my ears and into my shoes.
So this year I wised up and did every row with news paper.
If you want to know more about gardening with newspaper
all you have to do is google it.
There are all kinds of ideas out there on this subject.
But as for me and my house,
"WE ARE BELIEVERS!!!"

What did you plant?
I'm nosy and wanna know what grows in GA?
I don't plant until Memorial weekend.....freezing weather till about then.
I have never heard that...amazing! Wish I'd known that before i turned my flower beds into ROCK gardens! I just got so sick of weeding every week! :D
Oh yes, I've heard of that, hope you plant some tomatoes, I do love home grown tomatoes. Your garden looks great.
Love,
Daddy
You're one smart cookie! I'd do anything, ANYTHING to keep the weeds down! I'm saving my newspaper!
Great tip! Weeds are one of those bad things that came from the "original" garden!
Hey, that is a great tip. I think I am going to give it a try.
Hmmm, awesome!! Oh, and a great way to recycle too. Does it eventually just decompose into your garden, or do you have to remove it?
great idea, I do the same, line them on the outside of my garden, the weeds have no chance. Over time, they rot and I replace new paper.
WOW! You have an awesome garden. I just planted four tomato plants last night. I'm def trying the newspaper trick. Next year, I'm hoping to have a bigger spot. Thanks for sharing. Blessings. SusanD
