Cell Phone Saturday #14

Picture is not from my cell phone but I just had to share!

Local Wedding Venue

I photographed a wedding here at Dover Bluff a few weekends ago.

It was a Saturday and had rained all morning.

The skies parted and things cleared up for a very nice evening wedding.

It was held in the back yard of a private residence over looking the marsh.

The cake was so pretty and so delicious.

The un-wanted guest were horrible!!!

Yellow flies, sand gnats and mosquitoes, oh my!

I knew they would be and I wore long sleeves and

long pants and used two different kinds of bug spray.

They also had sprayed the yard twice that day

but it didn't seem to help much.

I looked a little out of place with all the

pretty summer sun dresses but I was there to

 get pictures not look pretty.

Several persons commented that they

wish they had covered up more.

It's not always this bad, sometimes it's worse!

We didn't have a cold winter to kill off the bugs

so summer will be hot and miserable.

So thankful for air-conditioning,

which I have been using off and on since February!

Can't Quit Thinking...

And wondering...

Just how the wedding plans are going for Lady Mary and Matthew.

I can't wait to be a guest at that wedding.

I bet the cake will be just awesome!

And, Mr. Bates, how is he doing behind bars?

And poor sweet Anna...

And what in the world will we do

when Grandma-ma, Dowager Countess,

 Dame Maggie Smith leaves after season 3???

Can't somebody stop her or yet offer her more money?

Please stop her.

What an awesome cast!

I was excited to learn that most of them have

signed contracts through season 5!

Love, love, love Downton Abbey.

You already know I'm crazy so this

will not come as a shock to you.

Every now and then I have to pull up any

 episode of this show and listen for a few minutes

 just to get a quick fix of that British accent.

Ah, just what I need to get through the

 day and the real problems in life.

Finally

Just finished putting the garden in.

It's only over a month late.

Been a crazy busy Spring for me.

Cabbage

Watermelon for the very first time.

Cell Phone Saturday #13

Key Lime Cake

1 (18.25 ounce) package lemon cake mix

1 1/3 cups vegetable oil

4 eggs

1 (3 ounce) package lime flavored gelatin mix

3/4 cup orange juice

1/2 cup butter

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese

3 tablespoons fresh lime juice

4 cups confectioners' sugar

Directions

1. Combine cake mix, gelatin mix, oil, eggs and orange juice. Pour into three 8 inch cake pans. Bake according to instructions on box. Allow to cool, then frost.

2. To make the frosting: In a large bowl, beat the butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy. Add lime juice and confectioners sugar. Mix well.

This was our familes St. Patrick Day dessert.

I'm always looking for barns.

And I have to take what I can get!

We don't live in a rural area.

So I was excited to find this barn!

when the girls were out of school for teachers planning day.

Cell Phone Saturday #12

Spring has sprung here in south Georgia.

 And we have been Kite flying a lot in the last two weeks.

Both GRANDgirls are really good at flying kites.

I started teaching them at age 2.

Now that they are 7 and 5 they are real pros.

Makes a Gigi proud.

I bought little cups for the nursery at church and they

were on the kitchen counter so I wouldn't forget to

take them. Reagan called me to come look at her castle!

She was so excited! I had to laugh and

be happy about her creativity.

 (I still had half a pack left for the nursery.)
