Overture to The Barber of Seville

I went to the big city last night.

Went to a spring concert.

My niece Amelia, plays the violin with the

Armstrong Atlantic Youth Chamber Orchestra.

(She is on the 3rd row to the left of the conductor, 4 seats in.)

They were wonderful and I enjoyed it so much!

I was in such a rush to get there that I forgot her flowers.

Darn.

I love this piece, and it is done very well, but I can't hear it without thinking of Bugs Bunny's version!

I'm glad you were able to come to the performance. I forgot to tell you that the performed "Crown Imperial Coronation March" with the AAYO and it was great. I had to laugh because they really crammed together up on the stage and I thought they were going to take some eyes out with their bows. I posted that performance too ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbrpYORRDHU

I'm soooo glad you got to see it - thanx to us leaving Dad's insulin and you bringing it up to us. . .

Those young people are so accomplished. Sandy said on the way to the concert how he wished Amelia would practice more and if she didn't start doing better in that department, he might just stop paying for lessons and carting her to lessons and practices (she was listening to all that) -- then after the concert he looked at me and said he cancelled the idea of stopping anything.

I was walking two feet off the ground afterward and wanted to shout out that I came all the way from Florida to see my granddaughter perform. This was her third year. Amelia made her grandparents very proud and pleased Monday night.
