I miss Gomer!
That use to be my favorite show.
I could sit and watch that and get to
laughing so hard I couldn't catch my breath.
I remember when the sweetheart
and I were first married he would watch it
with me and never really laugh and I'd be
falling off the couch. He just didn't get it.
I wish there was something on TV these
days that I could watch and laugh that hard.
I miss Gomer Pyle.

You know what gigi.............I miss gomer too!!! Wasn't he just always in trouble with Sargent Carter??
I also liked him on the Andy Griffith show......another classic that I love.
I can't wait for tomorrow. We have quite a few people who said they are joining. You and I may never get away form our computer tomorrow, lol.
You don't really live that far from me and I say we meet for lunch soon halfway one weekend soon.........whattaya think?

I think Gomer stil comes on here arounbd lunch time. I just love to watch Gomer anf Lou Ann dance! I also loved the Dick Van Dyke Show... Buddy was hysterical when he would give Mel a hard time.
All those shows mentioned were great. They just don't make those clean, wholesome, comical sitcoms anymore. How sad.

I realize that I have never even seen this show! I hang my head in shame.
Goooollly.. He was such a funny guy. I didn't realize how funny he was until he was no longer on.
I miss Gomer Pyle,USMC also but occasionally he will be one Andy Griffith(Griffis?)show. You mentioned on a previous post about the "Our Gang". I used to like that one too, reminded me of my childhood.

Not to mention he was a great singer, I miss Monty Python, that show made me laugh, and I got to stay up late on Sunday nights and watch it with my dad...:-)
That clip made me laugh out loud! I could never get used to his singing/regular voice ... too hard of a transition from Gomer to reality as a kid.

I think TV Land should bring him back. We used to get such a kick out of him.
They don't make the simple things that make you "really" laugh anymore, not in a genuine way. The laughs we get from sitcoms seem so canned. Used to, the sitcoms had canned laughter. Now we are it, and we never go away feeling completely satisfied.
Bring Gomer back!
I watched "Friends" from the very first episode to the last. I miss them, too. There is nothing on TV that makes me laugh like them. I still like to watch the reruns, and they still crack me up.
You are so right, there is not enough just FUN stuff on tv, its too high drama, to mjuch Real Life --or stupid sitcoms that are all the same, and reality shows that confirm how pathetic we as human beings can be sometimes. Where is Gomer when you need him.
