a 25 pound bag of sweet onions- $8.00
1 1/2 bushels of bell peppers $14.00.
Lots of other things too.
But the one thing I didn't get were the tomatoes
that I need to make salsa.
Hope to get them in the next few weeks from
Waycross, GA. You can pick a 5 gallon bucket
full for $6.00!
I am going to go ahead and chop the onions and
the bell peppers so that when I do get the tomatoes
it won't take that long to make the salsa.
My goal is to have more salsa than Tauna!
I'm sure she didn't know it was a competition.
Just kidding, Tauna.
I love the salsa I made this summer for the first time
and my goal is to have 365 jars of it so
that I have a jar a day for the next year.
Just kidding on that thought too!
I do tend to go a little over board when I like certain things
but I have already eaten all the salsa I put up in July.

I made salsa last night! 365 jars? You have a lofty goal!
Let the games begin!
Make it 366 and send me a jar ; )
365? I would have to store them under my bed.
That is a great deal on Tomatoes!
Your kitchen is going to smell Yummy!!!
Tauna was so kind to treat/gift us all with one of her jars of Salsa goodness.. and on the lid it says:
Tauna's Hot
Salsa.
I love that it says Tauna's hot. :)
Wow, that's a good farmer's market. Love those prices and I love salsa too.
I love that you are competitive!! Bring on the Salsa - You will have to call your's "Gigi's Hot" because as Ann said we all got Tauna's Hot or maybe you could go even further (since it is a competition) and call yours Gigi's all that and a bag of chips! Ha Ha
Love the Farmer's Market! The veggies looks so perfect. I bet your home smells wonderful - it would make me hungry just doing the prep work. Have a great evening Gigi.
You said SALSA! One of my all time favorite comfort foods!
I think I really need to judge between yours and Tauna's. Really, I would be willing to sacrifice and take one for the team.... : )
WOW! That's a lot of onions and peppers and at such great prices. Pretty sweet deal. 365 jars? Pretty ambitious. lol. I love my salsa. Thanks for sharing your recipe. Blessings, SusanD
I was lucky enough to get a jar of Tauna's salsa! She brought them to the cabin.
