My two cents!

Did you know that today's date is 7/8/9, cool, huh?
I taught early morning seminary to the youth of our church for almost 10 years.
I love the youth.
They can either make or break your day.
Most days they made my day.
For the first few years I would say to them as they were leaving, "good bye and have a good day"!
Then things changed.
I realised that you don't just have a good day.
I believe that you have do something in order to have a good day.
It's up to you.
So for the rest of the years I taught I would say,
"Make it a GREAT day!!"
I believe it is up to you to make your on great day.
Others aren't responsible for your happiness, you are.
Others will try and steal your joy or good mood,
but it is up to you to not let them.
You can help make someones day GREAT.
What makes a day great for you?
Some people think that a great day is,
shopping,
not going to work,
not being in pain,
fishing,
vacation,
working,
being with friends,
being with family,
not being lonely,
healthy,
peace and quiet,
world peace,
freedom to do what ever you want.
How do you make it a GREAT day.
So from me to you
MAKE IT A GREAT DAY!!!

Did you know my parents wedding anniversary is on 5-6-78? And, we'll work on making it a great day around here!
Wow Gigi. I think that is a great message for this great day :)
You were probably the best teacher. I didn't think about it being 789
Making it a great day around here too, thank you!
why was 6 afraid of 7, becuz 789.
I have always been afraid of 7... no joke! ok a little!
My great days consist of getting the house tidied up, accomplishing a few things on my checklist, having some kind of spiritual experience, and spending time with family and friends.
I agree about working with the youth. I LOVE it more than any other calling.
The principal at my school always ends his morning announcements with "Make yourselves a great day!"
When someone wishes my husband a good day, he always says, "No promises!" It makes me roll my eyes.
You know I use this ditty of "make it a great day". I learned my lesson a while back. It is all in the attitude.. sometimes other try to get me out of the attitude, but most days I'm resistant :-)
It's always a great day for me when I feel like I've accomplished something! Throw in a little exercise, some service for someone, a hug from a family member, a little something chocolate and...voila...a great day!
Hey, Gigi, have a great day!
Today is 789 and the royal Prince turned 10 today! (o;) xoxoxoxoxzoxzo, mama
Very cool about the date!
I totally agree about creating your own great days! I daily create my own great days by looking for and finding magic all around me - a wonderful reflection on a glass building, an interesting cloud formation, the laughing eyes of a child, an old couple holding hands - magic is all around us - we just have to open our eyes. And our hearts!
I did not realize it was 7-8-9!! Very fun!
Thanks for the post this is a true message.
I think you CAN decide if you are going to have a GREAT day or not and do whatever you can to make it that way!
Lots of things make my days great - just about anything really except those hormonal days (wink wink!).
I love looking for the positive.
What an uplifting post! I realized it was 7-8-9 when I took my delinquent to get her learner's permit today! believe me, i need uplifting - lol!
A very beautiful post. It's the simple blessings that make me smile - a hummingbird at the feeder, a new blossom on a rose bush...God blesses us with so much each and every day.

"Others will try and steal your joy or good mood" unfortunately that's very true
