Tasty Tuesday

This salad makes me happy!
It's my Sister~in~law's recipe.
She made it for the Crenshaw Family Reunion a few weeks ago.
I've been craving more ever since then.
I've had her recipe for years and never made it until last night.
I ate two bowls full for supper.

FUMI Salad
In a salad bowl mix:
1 head chopped up cabbage
8 green onions, chopped
8 Tbsp. toasted almonds
8 Tbsp. toasted sesame seeds
2 pkgs. crushed, dry Ramen noodles
1 can chicken (optional)
1 8oz can drained mandarin oranges (optional)

1 small can pineapple drained (optional)

Dressing:

Pour on just before serving
3/4 cup oil
6 Tbsp. vinegar
4 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. black pepper
2 seasoning packets of Ramen noodles
1 tsp. Accent (or seasoning salt)
I made it last night with the chicken and no fruit.
It's so easy and sooooo good!

One of my girlfriends is Canadian and she makes this every year for their Thanksgiving. I love it! Now I'll have to make it, since yours looked so good!

I have to try this, I am intrigued by the ramen noodles and then using the seasoning in the dressing. Adding the combination of the mandarin organes and the chicken just put this over the top!

Dang, I do love this salad! I have it whenever I see it...which means I've never made it. But I think I should.
I love the punkin picture of the little baby! So cute!

Is Fumi a japanese word?
This looks delicious. My family loves it when I stir-fry. I do a beef stir fry and also a chicken stir fry and usually serve potstickers with it.
This salad would be a GREAT and healthy addition to any meal but it would really compliment the stir -fry. Thanks for posting it Gigi - The recipes you put on your blog are always yummy!

This salad does look and sound really good. It sounds like a lot of oil though. But, I'll keep this recipe on hand and try it one of these days. My husband won't eat cabbage or lettuce of any kind, so I would have to make it for a family get together or something or cut the recipe in half.

YUM!

Yes, it delicious. When I'm over at Sheri's she gives me some before she adds the chicken. (I don't eat chicken). It's yummy.
