Tasty Tuesdays

Cherry Delight

This is one of my mama's recipe's. It's cool and rich and very easy to make.

1 20 oz. can Cherry pie Filling

1 can Eagle Brand Milk

1 20 oz. can crushed pineapple (drained)

1 cup sour cream

1 cup chopped pecans

1 med. cool whip.

With hand mixer, mix first 4 ingredients. Fold in nuts and cool whip. Refrigerate until really cold and set. Yummy. I meant to tell yall that you can also use the "light" version of all these products and it taste the same to me and will save you probably half the calories!

I've got to make this! My mom used to have it when she was a little girl for her birthday since it was cheaper than buying ice cream. She has told me about it but I don't think she has had a recipe. I'm so glad to find one!

I've googled half of those ingredients to find out what the UK alternative is. Sounds like quite a sweet icecream... mmm haven't bought a tin of condensed milk in years, I might have to try it. I can substitute cool whip with some whipped heavy cream, right?

Thanks for the light update. I don't know about white peaches but they grow lots of peaches here in southern utah. I didn't know you were in GA, my blogging friend!

Hey! How's GA? I need to get more involved with the blogs. I have browsed blogs and realized I have missed major events in people's lives. I hope everything has calmed around there.
