We got a watermelon from the farmers market this morning. The girls couldn't wait for me to get it cut. They were watching PBS and I was in the kitchen cutting the melon. I made the first cut and in a split second Mo was at my feet crying for some. I couldn't get it cut fast enough for him either. He didn't hush until I put him down the rind.
This is the only human food this cat will eat. He is strictly a dry cat food cat. But he loves him some watermelon!

Very interesting. He's the first cat I know to eat watermelon.
Again very interesting.
How fun! Have you ever tried watermelon Otai? An island drink made out of watermelons? I have to give you the reciepe (my fav is apple otai) I am not into watermelon. yuck! your cat can have mine too!
Mo is quite the cat! That watermelon looks good - no wonder he loves it! I've had cats and none have eaten watermelon!
Ooooh, I haven't had watermelon at all this season! I need to buy some.
If there were any human food to eat, it would be watermelon. Yummy!
That is too funny! I had a cat that liked green olives. She would even try to take it out of your mouth if you got it in there before she could get it.
Cats are weird. I love them.
Boy he ate a chunk of it! Sure hope he doesn't get sick. Hope the watermelon tasted as good as it looks. The grand girls eat watermelon but Pop Pop & Dad, as I seem to recsll aren't fond of it??? Thank goodness after two generations we're getting our family back to good ole Sothern habits! (O;)

Mo is so cute... and watermelon!
I LOL to see your cat eating water melon. In summer, I saw a dog eating a watermelon and icream Maori dessert. The cats and dogs my parents had never hhad such treats.
The biggest water melons I saw were in canadian. I shared my story to a fellow blogger, can't remember who. May be I should post it. It is just as funny now, 35 years after it happened.
If I had been there I would have been right there with Mo and the grand-girls. Oh yes I love nice cold watermelon. hhmmm!!!
Love you,
Papa
