Friday Shoot Out

Friday Shoot Out

This week's theme, chosen by Cindy,

is MY FAVORITE PLACE TO_______.

(I guess this isn't exactly my town but it's what I have on hand. )

Go to the B*E*A*C*H

It's Crescent Beach, Florida

Crescent Beach is just 6 miles south of Gordon's St Augustine Beach.

It is an hour and a half drive south of my town Brunswick, Georgia.

As you can tell it's one of the last beaches that you can still drive onto with your car.

These pictures were taken at low tide and in the evening. One of my favorite times of day at the beach.

Our GRAND~girls just love it as much as we do.

Digging in the white sands is a favorite thing to do for children and adults a like.
My parents took me to this same beach as a child.
I took my children and now I take my GRAND~children and their friends.
That's my big boy Travis who can dig one handed.
Remember the other hand is wrapped up due to the MRSA infection.
He posted a recent picture of how much it has healed so go see for yourself by clicking
here.

Great place to run.

The dunes are beautiful.
Almost looks like snow.
I guess it is, Florida snow.

Clouds starting to roll in.

Turning around and looking over my shoulder, the rain was coming.
Time to load up and go.

Driving back into St. Augustine we were looking for fun.

And we found it on the Merry Go Round!

Just look at the excitement!

Sweet fun.

Yes, the third one is a beautiful classic! Good family shoot out all around. Hmm...."Good family shoot out" doesn't seem like the best phrase somehow.

As always gorgeous photos .....
I'm so blessed to be driving to the beach in an hour or so ....
to my daughter's ....it's very windy in Australia this week ...I hope it calms down a bit while I'm there.

It will take me about 7 hours to get there but it's a lovely drive.

See you next week.

What could be more beautiful than a little girl in a flowered dress at the beach? A little girl in a flowered dress laughing delightedly on a carousel maybe?

Oh that makes me want to go to the beach! Your grands are such adorable children and you capture their personalities perfectly. Wonderful that you have memories from your childhood there as well.
